Mountain Shadow RV Park & Campground
Hiking Trails- A short nature walk leads to the shore of Kluachon Lake.  For the more serious hikers, the
Telegraph Creek Trail starts at Mountain Shadow RV Park & Campground and follows the Klastline River
to Buckley Lake and into Mount Edziza Provincial Park.  There are no roads into Mount Edziza Park.  To the
southeast, lies the Spatsizi Plateau Wilderness Provincial Park, one of Canada's largest parks.  The park
offers a true wilderness atmosphere.  Access into the park is by foot, horseback, canoe or float plane.
Boat Rental - Excellent quality inflatable boats are available for rental to explore and fish Kluachon Lake.  
The lake is between 2 and 3 miles long.
Fly Fishing Instruction (see below for options)
Enjoy incredible wildlife viewing and bird watching.  Moose are often seen feeding near the lake as well as
eagles and osprey fishing.  Beaver and otter inhabit the lake as well as many types of water fowl.

 Learn basic casting techniques.  For the
beginner, learn line and fly selection.  For those
who need to brush up or add to their fly fishing
skills, we will work on more advanced  
techniques.  You will learn about lines, leaders
flies and how to successfully fish for native
Rainbow Trout in the lakes of Northern BC.

 Includes basic fly casting and more advanced
skills, plus, actual on the water instruction.  You
will catch fish on a fly.  You will learn fly line
selection and control; wet and dry fly selection
and technique; playing, landing & releasing fish.
 4 hours
 $125 per person

 Includes basic fly casting and more advanced
skills, plus, you will learn how to fish from a
float tube.  A full day of personalized instruction
on the water covering all aspects of fly fishing
techniques.  A special and unique experience
in a beautiful wilderness setting.

Fly fishing instruction is given by Steve Putnam.  Steve has over 30 years fishing experience.
You may choose to use your own equipment or equipment will be provided.
